The following attributes should be displayed throughout the proposal, tactics for approaching tasks, and deliverables: Understands the value of coalition-building to achieve a shared vision, including the importance of cross-sector collaboration and elevating community needs. Approaches their work with an equity lens. Understands the need for education and resource sharing as tools for advancing infill development. Has expertise in the areas of infill development and anti-displacement policy.
The selected consultant will assist SACOG in meeting the grant deliverables for the Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods grant while leveraging other agency-wide goals. The consultant will: Help administer the CBO working group after it is established by SACOG.
Assist with best practices and recommendations for engagement with CBOs and partners. Develop and implement a capacity-building series for working group participants and other key partners and interested parties from across the six-county region.
Develop a toolkit that highlights meaningful community engagement practices within Green Zones to support equitable infill development strategies. The project's main goal is to support the equitable implementation of the Green Means Go program through the support of the identified sub-recipient projects and create resources that can outlive the grant and be used for future projects.
The capacity-building series should accelerate the understanding of infill development with an equity lens across the region and should focus on policies that also implement SACOG’s 2025 Blueprint housing goals and initiatives.
