The equipment will extend the City's network fiber ring infrastructure with core switching and routing and will use MACsec encryption for ingress and egress traffic to the facility. Other requested equipment will provide access for devices in the facility on the basement and second levels.
Single mode fiber runs between the basement and second floor levels using LC connectors are existing to connect core and access network switches. Copper runs are existing to the access point mounting locations. The current deployment will involve the use of the Switch Engine (EXOS) operating system for existing system compatibility.
The equipment must also be capable of supporting the Fabric Engine (VOSS) operating system for future fabric network deployment migration. The wireless equipment must not interfere with the wireless activities of the existing Chase Bank institution inhabiting the first (ground) level of the facility. A diagram has been provided as an aid in depicting the network topology.
