Install new 25% sodium hydroxide (caustic) dosing pumps skids for Post-Chemical mixing including pumps, piping, fittings, calibration column, flow meter and integral VFD and controls, and coating inside the room.
Install new 40% liquid ammonium sulfate (LAS) dosing pumps skids for Post-Chemical mixing including pumps, piping, fittings, calibration column, flow meter and integral VFD and controls, and coating inside the room.
Install new polyaluminum chloride (PACL) dosing pumps skids including pumps, piping, fittings, calibration column, flow meter and integral VFD and controls, and coating inside the room. New chemical protective coating inside the Liquid Ammonium Sulfate (LAS), chlorine dioxide, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite and Polyaluminum chlorite (PACL) feed rooms and bulk storage areas.
Associated electrical, instrumentation and control improvements. Chemical Transfer Pumps Piping Improvements Demolish and remove existing chemical transfer pump piping and fittings. Install new piping within the chemical feed building for the sodium hypochlorite and caustic transfer pumps.
Chlorine Dioxide System Improvements Install a temporary mobile unit to generate chlorine dioxide solution onsite using a two-chemical system during the construction phase to maintain plant disinfection operation.
Demolish existing two (2) on-site generators inside the existing chlorine dioxide room, including two (2) batch tanks, one (1) sodium hypochlorite day tank, one (1) hydrochloric acid (HCA) day tank, and four (4) peristaltic metering pumps. Install new two-chemical system inside the chlorine dioxide room, including generator units, Purate day tanks, and distribution panels.
Construct a new secondary containment for sulfuric acid bulk storage tank with a new unloading station. Construct a new secondary containment for Purate bulk storage tank with a new unloading station. Demolish existing HCA bulk storage tank and two (2) HCA transfer pumps and associated piping, valves and fittings.
Demolish existing sodium chlorite (SC) storage tank and two(2) SC metering pumps and one(1) day tank and associated piping, valves and fitting. Demolish two (2) sodium hypochlorite transfer pumps and associated piping and fittings inside the existing sodium hypochlorite room. Remove and replace existing PVC piping with CPVC piping.
Install new chemical protective coating to the chlorine dioxide room, sulfuric acid bulk storage tank containment and Purate bulk storage tank containment. Associated structural, building mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control , and site civil improvements.
Membrane Building Piping Replacement Remove and replace sodium hypochlorite and caustic piping with fusible polyethylene piping within the Membrane Building including valves and appurtenances. Chemical Protective Coating Improvements Remove existing coating and install new chemical protective coating inside chemical bulk storage tank containments and chemical unloading stations.
Regrout chemical containment to properly drain to containment sumps. Regrout the unloading station to repair current damage. Chemical Ventilation, Emergency Shower and Eyewash Station Improvements Remove all existing outdoor safety showers and replace with new freeze-proof rated outdoor showers.
Install the outdoor showers on a small elevated concrete pad. Remove all existing indoor safety showers in the chemical facility and replace with new standard safety showers.
