What is BidRanger?
BidRanger is a web app that aggregates public (government) construction bids and RFPs from across 48 US states into one place. It pulls from federal SAM.gov, state Departments of Transportation, and hundreds of city, county, and special-district purchasing portals, classifies each bid by trade, and sends a daily 7am email digest filtered to your trade, state, and job size. The dashboard is free to browse.
Is BidRanger legitimate?
Yes. BidRanger is a real, operating SaaS product with transparent, publicly listed pricing ($19.99–$49.99/month — no hidden fees, no "call for a quote"), no long-term contracts, cancel-anytime billing, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Payments are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. It is operated by Rory Watson, doing business as BidRanger (PO Box 445, Moorcroft, WY 82721). Who is behind BidRanger?
BidRanger was built and is operated solo by its founder, Rory Watson (Rory Watson, doing business as BidRanger), based in Wyoming. Rory spent years working in the electrical construction trade and works as an electrical BIM modeler, so he knows the bidding grind firsthand: public construction bids are scattered across dozens of separate government portals, and checking them all every morning is impractical. BidRanger is the tool he wanted and couldn't find.
How does BidRanger work?
BidRanger continuously collects new public construction bids from its tracked government sources (refreshed every 12 hours), classifies each by trade and project type, and lets you filter by state, trade, and job value. You can browse everything free on the dashboard, or subscribe to get just the bids that match your saved searches emailed to you each morning at 7am Eastern.
Is my data safe with BidRanger?
BidRanger runs no cross-site tracking and shows no ads. It stores only what's needed to run your account and email digest (your email, plan, and saved searches). Payment card details are handled entirely by Paddle — BidRanger never sees or stores your card number. Questions: rory@bidrangerai.com.
Who built BidRanger
Rory Watson is the founder of BidRanger. He spent years working in the electrical construction trade and works as an electrical BIM (building information modeling) modeler. He built BidRanger solo to fix a problem he had seen firsthand: public construction bids are scattered across dozens of separate government portals, and no small contractor has time to check them all every morning.
