https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/pasadena/projects/288077The Pasadena City Attorney/City Prosecutor’s Office works to arrive at creative solutions, which effectively address issues affecting residents and businesses in the City and assure that the public interest is well served in the areas of civic representation and criminal prosecution.
The City Prosecutor seeks to contract with a qualified nonprofit agency to implement its pilot HOME Diversion Program to reduce recidivism among unhoused adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
HOME is grant funded through the California Board of State and Community Corrections (CA BSCC) Prop 47 Cohort 5. The program will provide a low-barrier, trauma-informed alternative to prosecution for individuals cited, arrested, charged with, or at risk to be arrested for non-violent misdemeanors.
Eligible participants will be diverted from the criminal justice system into immediate interim housing with wraparound services such as case management, behavioral health therapy, substance use counseling, housing navigation and job training. The program aims to reduce recidivism, homelessness, and improve public health and safety in Pasadena.
