Project Description: This contract work consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to construct site improvements to an existing electrical transmission switching station located at 3132 148th ST NE, Marysville, WA, 98271, in Snohomish County, Washington.
Site construction includes but is not limited to demolition and removal of reinforced concrete foundations, temporary erosion and sedimentation controls; site preparation; earthwork; removal of surplus and unsuitable soil; cast-in-place concrete drilled pier foundations; substation rock resurfacing within the work area; and site disturbance restoration.
The switching station will remain energized during construction; however, the District will provide a qualified employee to serve as a Safety Watch in the switching station as defined by WAC 296-45-475 part 6 – Substation Entry.
All Contractor and Subcontractor personnel must have hazard recognition training and attend a documented tailgate meeting prior to entering the switching station. The District will provide the hazard recognition training prior to the start of construction. in Snohomish County, Washington. Contractors must be currently on the District’s Small Works Roster category “Substation General Site Construction” prior to bidding.
