RFP #27-011 - Banner – Oracle DBA

This RFP seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive Database Administration (DBA) services for a higher education institution operating the Ellucian Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system on Oracle databases hosted on Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.

The selected vendor will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and upgrade support of the institution's Banner environment. The environment includes Production, Pre-Production, Sandbox, and approximately three to five Test instances that support academic, financial, human resources, student, and administrative operations across the institution.

The institution requires a partner with demonstrated expertise in Ellucian Banner, Oracle Database, and Red Hat Linux who can provide proactive operational support, strategic guidance, and technical leadership to ensure system reliability, performance, security, and business continuity.

Services will include planning and executing Banner and Oracle upgrades, applying vendor-recommended patches and security updates, supporting disaster recovery and testing activities, troubleshooting complex database issues, and assisting institutional staff with ongoing maintenance and optimization efforts.
